Careers Expo draws large crowd at Parow Civic Centre

On Friday, 9 May 2025, Grade 11 and 12 learners from various Subcouncil 4 suburbs filled up the Parow Civic Centre hall to engage with City of Cape Town officials and higher learning institutions' representatives on career options.

‘This year’s career expo in Parow featured 24 exhibitors that provided career options to learners who will be leaving school soon. What happens after high school? That is the key question for many young minds and as a City of Hope, we would like to facilitate that transition. Once they graduate and acquire the necessary skills, we will be here waiting for them to join and build our City,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Corporate Services, Alderman Theresa Uys.
